In August 2016, Schneider Electric opened a new facility in Mexico City, investing 9.6 million dollars and generating 400 jobs.
The expansion consists in 26 production lines for low stress solution such as centers of charge and multi-measuring instruments. By this investment, the company will get a larger space aimed to develope engineering for solutions based on specific needs of its customers.
In March 2016, the company opened its plant at San Luis Potosí, with an 8 million dollar investment and the creation of 150 direct jobs, during its first stage. Banner Engineering is an American company dedicated to automobile sensors and lights manufacturing and commercialization.
In 2015, Flextronics announced a 34 million dollar investment for the expansion of its plant located in Jalisco. It is estimated that in 2018 5,000 people will be incorporated to the company's workforce.
In May 2015, Bosh opened a new facility in Sonora dedicated to manufacture electronic products from its Security Systems division, in order to supply the North and South American markets. There was a 40 million pesos investment for this plant, generating 130 jobs.
